March Tag Challenge

I used Bags, Tags, Boxes and More to make this window tag card. I have two boys so I never get to do girlie....I chaneled my inner diva to add bling, flowers and glitter! This is a CTMH stamp set. I used a blending pen and a pink stamp pad to color the sash, shade the sash and shoes and ink the edges of my inner image. I am on Team 1-Mad Taggers this month; voting will be open on the cricut mb Monday (3/30) and Tuesday (3/31). Go Mad Taggers!!

February MB Challenge

I had such a great time participating in the January Best of the Board Challenge so I decided to join in the fun for February as well. The Challenge was to use the word love and a heart cut with the Cricut. I used Storybook to cut the heart. I love the dramatic paper! I didn't have a red flower or button so I used alcohol inks to dye them to match. I had to add a Christmas picture of my DH and I as that's the only recent photo we have, sad. I do intend to change that photo.

January MB Challenge

This is a layout that I created for the January Best of the Board Challenge on the Cricut Message Board. I was a member of Team 2: Paper Perfection. We won! To create the layout, I cut shapes with my cricut and adhered them to a cover from a paper stack. I then covered the piece with metal plumbers' tape and used a brayer to make the shapes pop. Next, I used alcohol inks and blending solution to add some colore. I love alcohol inks. The brackets, words and numbers were cut with my cricut as well. The numbers were cut twice from thin chipboard and glued together. I purchased the tags and flowers. I'm a teacher so the picture is this years school picture, don't you just hate school pictures but what else am I suppose to do with it? This was my first ever submission to a challenge on the board and overall I was pleased with the results.

Altered Art

I love the look of Altered Art. I also love the act of creating it, it is so free!! I created the cigar box while having a create date with a friend, LL. She gave me the dress form to take home and complete. I used ripped patterned paper, ripped mulberry paper, rub-ons, transparent stickers, modge podge, gems and paint to make it mine! I display them on my grandmother's treadle sewing machine in my living room.
